From what i can see, graffiti / street art is a big thing in Melbourne. Graffiti can somehow be seen as an act of leaving a person's trace/story behind. Is graffiti considered part of Melbourne's culture? If it is, can this element become a good use to bridge the gap between internationals and locals?

i love graffiti/street art.. unfortunately some people see it as an indication of.. gangs.. crimes..? it does add a lot more life to our street life though. :)
